"I am very, very happy with the results of this product.  My skin has very dark spots above both sides of my eyebrows and on the lower sides of my jaw line, nose and chest, but also other spots came to the surface that I didn't even see before.  With Sub'lime T they became like large very red spots that come up to the surface.  They don't act like zits but more like a slight burn, then slowly start to peel and return to proper skin color.  My hands are very exciting for me.  After the last day of the second week there has been a very noticeable change in the brown spots.  My clients are watching and seeing the changes.  There getting more excited and convinced that they really would like to use the product....I can't wait for the 5th week.  Also my face has a fresher look when I put on makeup.  I only put concealer around my eyes and a little on my face.  My blush looks great, there is a definite glow appearing.  As for my hands - the look of old age, dry and wrinkled - that has changed too.  They are more 'full', my veins don't seem so pronounced.

Experience with Renu 365™:

First 4 days:
"More color (not red or yellow, but just a natural looking glow) and vibrancy to skin. No dryness, but more tautness to the skin (many times these two results go hand in hand, but not in this case). An all around "plumper" look."

Next 2 days:

"More tightness, small amount of dryness, red pimples/blotches begin to appear. Skin still has plumper look. "

Anna's Response:

"The dryness, red pimples/blotches are exactly what should be happening.it is the damaged and hyper pigmented skin responding exactly as it should." 

Final day of first week:
"Small white flakes appear. Skin still feels taut, and I can see ripples in skin as I smile, as if the skin is now a mask that will probably peel away eventually. Red pimples/blotches increase. Small white flaking continues."

Anna's Response:

"Your skin is responding exactly as it should in the time frame described.  REMEMBER DO NOT PICK, SCRAPE OR FORCEFULLY EXFOLIATE IN ANY WAY!  Allow the flaking and all else to resolve itself.  Remember to spray Renu 365™ Soothing Spritz as often as you like. It will increase the moisturizing aspects of the treatment and calm most irritation."

"Note: I didn't use Renu 365™ last night because I thought it might be a good idea to "rest" the skin and allow it to recover from the pimples/blotches. Do you think I should wait until they disappear, or continue to use Renu 365™ nightly until the skin adjusts?"

Anna's Response:

"The purpose of this product is to treat damaged and or hyper pigmented skin.if you stop the nightly applications then you are stalling the desired results.even skin tone, tighter pores and soft, supple and glowing skin."

"Also: I had forgotten to show you the sun damage I have on a small triangular area of my chest. I have been putting the Renu 365™ on this area also, and in this area I am experiencing a much milder reaction. No dryness, flaking, pimples, etc., yet a more even tone to the skin (pigmentation seems to be lightening). In short, this area seems to be responding very well to Renu 365™, but with no side effects."

Anna's Response:

"What you describe as side effects are in fact the EFFECTS that are needed in order to get optimal results - the greater the damage to the skin the more redness and peeling will occur. Please describe the pimples as soon as you have time to respond to this email.  I can see in both sets of photos small raised red areas.is that what you are referring to as "pimples"? This version of Renu 365™ was developed for the face only.skin on your chest is different and therefore your reaction would not be exactly the same."

"My conclusion: this product is definitely working to remove the outer layer(s) of the skin. I'm looking forward to seeing what's underneath!"

Anna's Response:

"Renu 365™ was created to heal melasma / hyperpigmention, not just to remove the discoloration that you see on the surface.  The damage is actually far deeper then that and the discoloration will return if you are exposed to sunlight. In our wonderful climate ( California ) this means that you are always exposed, therefore without the treatments continuation for up to 12 months the discoloration will return. When the surface of your skin has released the discoloration, and is exfoliated entirely it will no longer be red or flaky. This may take a while as not all areas are equal in damage; some areas are more damaged than others and the redness and peeling will continue until there is no more surface hyperpigmention. The initial results are not even or equal, but in time your entire face will take on the same even tone. The treatment is designed to give you back even toned, smooth, firm and glowing skin as was once had in our youth.  With your cooperation and patience you will have just that."

Second Week

"All is going well. During this second week, the red blotches and pimples have healed. This could have been an adjustment of the skin to the cream, but my suspicion is that it is really because I stopped using the "Buff Puff," which I believe was irritating my skin. As soon as I switched from the Buff Puff to a washcloth, my skin immediately began to improve."

Anna's Response:

"(Buff Puff far too harsh and the wash cloth also; Renu 365™ Scrub is sufficient). It was the buff puff and your skin adjusting but mostly it was a kind of purging - the damage appears on the surface, but is actually below. Generally pimples come either from something that has been introduced or is actually already there lurking below what can be seen."

So now, the effects are:

1. Plumper skin (fine wrinkles have diminished). 

Anna's Response:

"Do you recall my saying that there is more to it than I was saying at the time.well this is it. I did not want to predispose you!!! Yet you gave me the comment I was looking for.perfect!! And mostly it is the greatest gift that the product will give.over time it just gets better!!!  

2. Sun spots have darkened, so that there is more contrast between the spots and the rest of my skin.

Anna's Response:

"They will flake or peel off.when that aspect is complete then they will just get lighter and lighter until they are gone.in some cases 100% for an even tone that most of us have not seen in years."

3. Pore size is still about the same.

Anna's Response:

"Yours are small and fine so the correction can only be marginal.and possibly not very noticeable.however the difference will be seen in the overall texture of your skin."

4. The "mask like" quality of the skin (that I described in last week's email) has diminished, probably as a result of the flaking off of the outer layer of skin.

Anna's Response:

"You are correct."

5. No more flaking.

Anna's Response:

"There will be more.but not very noticeable."

6. No more red blotches or pimples.

Anna's Response:

"As it should be.however there may be a little more as the action of Renu 365™ continues, but seeing that you are not prone to pimples that should no longer be a problem.possibly the one or two that plague us all monthly. An additional positive side effect of the Renu 365™ treatment is the reduction in occurrence of even that monthly blemish.you'll let me know how that aspect works for you."

"Also, is there enough sunscreen in Renu 365™ to protect my face during the day (driving, running errands, walking at 7:30 am for 45 minutes with a good hat)? If not, shall I put extra sunscreen on (Dr. Morales gave me some sunscreen samples that seem pretty non-irritating)?"

Anna's Response:

"There is the maximum approved amount of sunscreen in Renu 365™ . It blocks both UVA and UVB rays. It is equivalent to around SPF 45. But it is always wise to stray on the side of caution; when in doubt use sunscreen designed for babies, which is a complete sunblock, available at all local drug stores. I use it all the time on all areas that are exposed. I keep this type of sunblock in my make-up bag, my home and my car - just to be safe!"

After Three Weeks

"I notice a big difference in my skin. Here's what I notice now:

1. Skin has overall more even look, brown spots are lightening.
2. Skin looks taut, without feeling dry or tight.
3. Still no red blotches or pimples.
4. Skin texture is becoming finer.

The only comparable treatment results that I can remember is from several years ago - a lengthy and expensive regimen through my then dermatologist."

After One Month

"I have now been using Renu 365™ for 30 days. I use it twice daily as per your instructions.

I've included 3 more photos, taken this morning. Notice the diminishing of the sun damage compared to only just last week

Also, I've noticed:

• Healthier color to the skin (less paleness)
• Better consistency of color (aside from the diminishing of sun damage, there is better overall consistency in color)
• Pores are slowly shrinking in size
• No more flaking or dryness
• No more pimples
• No more red blotches

My skin has adapted to the cream very nicely, and I now really like it as a night/day cream. It adds enough moisture that I no longer need to use any other creams in addition, nor do I need to spritz with water. Very impressive! "
